Tito is a Saudi card game that closely resembles the game of Baloot, with some modifications that will be outlined in this blog.

How to Play

Similar to Baloot, Tito's gameplay involves the following rules and differences:

1.      There is a new trump suit called "Tito”, which outranks the “Hukm” and “Sun”.

2.      Playing Tito follows the same rules as playing “Sun”. The player who throws the highest card always wins, with no trump cards to cut the tricks. However, the order of the cards in Tito is similar to the order of the trump suit in terms of strength. The Jack card in Tito is similar to the Ace in “Sun” in terms of rank.

3.      When playing Tito, the player is forced to play a higher card than the opponent's card if available, unless the highest card on the table is played by the player's partner.

4.      The double is open in the “Sun”, “Hukm”, and Tito from the beginning of the game.

5.      There is no “Ashkal” in the second.

Scoring

In the case of “Sun” and “Hukm”, scoring and “Abnat” (card values) calculation methods are similar. The method for calculating Tito Abnat is as follows:

· The total Abnat of Tito with the ground card = 258 Abnat.

· Convert Tito's Abnat into points, similar to converting Sun's Abnat, except for rounding the Abnat midpoint when reaching the units digit to 4 instead of 5.

· Example: 120/121/122/123 Abnat, all are rounded to the nearest 10, then divided by 10 and multiplied by 2 to get a result of 24 points.

· The units digit is rounded to 4 when reaching 124 Abnat. In this case, we round 4 to half, divide by 10, and multiply by 2 to get a result of 12.5 x 2 = 25.

· For Abnat 125 to 129, we round the units digit to the nearest whole number, divide by 10, and multiply by 2 to get 13 x 2 = 26.

· It's noteworthy that converting all of Tito's 258 Abnat to points results in 26 x 2 = 52 points, which is the total points for a Tito round or buyer.

· The non-buying team needs 130 Abnat to break Tito's buyer.

· The “Kabout” of Tito = 88 points.

· The game ends when one of the teams reaches 252 points.

Projects

There are two new projects available only in Tito's buyer:

- The first project is "500": The player must have all 9 cards, and their value is 50 points.

- The second project is "600": The player must have all four Jack cards, and their value is 60 points.
